Well, now that we are about five months in, 2021 has proven to be as …. interesting … 2020. Illness, the passing of dear friends, and now … Dagoh Creations is moving! The owners of our home are selling, so Himself and I are purging/packing and looking for a new place to call our Sanctuary.
This means my beloved yarn will have to be packed away, and put into storage until we find a place. In that light, I have been doing a LOT of research on the best way to store yarn. Almost five starts, this method seems to be the best to keep the elasticity of the fibres, yet be able to store it as wee as possible. Believe it or not, vacuum bags! Now, I don’t mean the ones you can get from the dollar store. I mean the “good” ones … like the brand starting with Z. This week will see me packing all the yarn save for the yarn I need for my Courses, a shawl I’m working on, and some cotton for quick dishcloths.
The hardest part, I think, is I’m still not working from getting a VERY bad infection. The leg is getting better, and I’m wearing compression stockings all the time now. The not working thing is really hard on the mind, as we are still somewhat locked down because of the C-19. Himself and I are watching the news with a sinking feeling of dread. One of our provinces are back into full lockdown – or maybe it’s worse. I’m looking at this province’s financial capital and cringing. It won’t be long until we are locked down just as bad! People are tired, I get that, but we still need to care for our community. So much sickness and death. UGH!
I have been doing a lot of crocheting lately (lol after all, what else can I do?), and have been taking photos, but not uploading a lot of them. The mental acuity needed to do something like uploading and exposing myself to the outside world seems to be something I’m lacking. But, I will try to post something at least once a day.
Back to you guys … what would you like to see, crochet wise? Do you want to see some of my hand-sewing things? How about my laughable attempts at knitting? I do have a lot of fibre stuff I like to do – just not all that well LOL.
