Welcome to January 3. Today’s project was to be an Easy Granny Square Poncho. Notice the was? I think the pattern was written in UK terms. Which is fine, I can translate, but as I did it in US terms, it wasn’t working out. When I did it in UK terms, it was even worse. Easy my empty coffee mug.
Originally, the yarn I was using was meant for the Slice of Pi Shawl, by Fiber Spider. So, that’s what I am going to use it for. I talked to Himself about it, and we have come to the agreement, I should work on the projects I have in mind for the earmarked yarn, and use the rest for my blanket.
In other things, I’ve finally decided what my word for the year is. Intention.
Whatever I do, it will be with Intention. I will be working on no impulse shopping, be it books, yarn or craft supplies. My hope is to work on this blog a lot more, as well. This year will also herald my new talents. Spinning, resin work and tapestry weaving. I’m also wanting to get more involved with my local SCA group. So I will be making a page off this site for it. Once it’s up and running, I’ll link it on the front page.
It’s nice to see my stash dwindling, as I work on my blanket and the dishcloths.
So for now, have a great night, sleep well, and may your health always be in your favour. ❤
