The yarn is in … the project started. Because this commission is for a baby, I used two types of yarn, just to see what would work best for a wee one. I started with a cotton yarn, with the thought of “baby will slobber”. My own sensitive hands found the cotton was too rough. So I started another one with a premium yarn, which is sturdy but soft. I’m much, much happier.

The one on the right is the cotton yarn. I will finish it for myself, but I don’t like it for a baby. The one on the left is the premium yarn. It’s brighter in the photo than it is in person. I love how soft it is.
But, once again, as I started on the next part of the Baby Alien, I ended up with a supervisor. Miss Tika makes it so hard, sometimes, but it’s amusing.

I have a good feeling about this particular project. It’s nice to work up, and it looks like it will be finished tonight.
