One of my goals for 2020 is to step out of my comfort zone, creatively, and work through my yarn stash. To not purchase yarn unless it’s for a commission, and to deplete what I can – hopefully by my birthday in June. The goal is to be a minimalistic crafter. Only buys what I need for a project, and not buy because it’s pretty, or on sale.
So, on Facebook, I belong to an amazing group called The Crochet Crowd. They have a web presence, and it’s here you will find the CAL pattern I’m working on.
Since I love to spin wool and alpaca fibres, this particular CAL (Crochet-A-Long) really spoke to me, and now that I am somewhat organized, I am ready to start it. The name of the CAL is “No Drama Llama”, and I’ve already named the Llama, Charlie.
I will try to remember to add photos and blog posts outlining my journey to make this, with the tag NoDramaLlama. In fact, to show that I am using up stash yarn, and not buying new stuff, here is a photo:
This yarn was gifted to me by a dear friend’s mother, and is no longer available to purchase (as Sears is no longer a company here in Canada). So, let’s begin!
